Styrene Monomer is the main monomer used in the manufacturing of polyester resins and gel coats. It should only be used based upon supplier recommendation. It can be added to lower viscosity of resin or aid spray pattern in gel coats. Styrene is one of several chemicals used to make surfacing agent.

In case of eye contact:
Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention.
In case of skin contact:
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irriation occurs.
If inhaled:
If ill effects occur remove person to fresh air, keep that person warm and quiet and get medical attention promptly.
If swallowed:
If large quantity is swallowed, give lukewarm water if victim is concious/alert. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention.
